About KiwiMP

The KiwiMP project aims to promote civic empowerment and effective democratic governance by making it easy for people to keep tabs on elected MPs, parties and the processes within Aotearoa New Zealand's Parliament.

For all its faults and foibles, our democracy is a profound gift from previous generations. Yet most people don't know what parties and MPs do or say in their name. We aim to help bridge this democratic disconnect, in the belief that there is little wrong with Parliament that a healthy mixture of transparency and public engagement won't fix.

All code written for KiwiMP is released as free software with full source code, provided under the terms of the GNU General Public License. Project development details can be found at KiwiMP's sourceforge project.
